SATED Space’s Challenge: Polishing Prototypes for Orbit
SATED Space LLC had a functional prototype for their groundbreaking zero-gravity SATED cooker. However, to bring this innovation to fruition, a polished, functional design was required for its essential companion: the downdraft workstation. Given the hazards of food particles in microgravity, SATED Space needed to transform this prototype into a refined, space-ready solution that seamlessly integrated with their cooker’s advanced aesthetic.
Our Solution: Elevating Design for Space
We partnered with SATED Space to elevate their downdraft workstation from prototype to a refined product. We delivered advanced product design, optimizing airflow, filtration, and user interaction for robust particle capture. Additionally, we created integrated, realistic visualizations of the SATED cooker on the new workstation, vital for showcasing its innovative features. This close collaboration transformed SATED Space’s prototype into a polished reality.
The Impact: A Safer, Cleaner Space Culinary Future
Our design ensures enhanced astronaut safety, improved habitability through effective particle capture, and seamless integration for future space missions. We are proud to have contributed to SATED Space’s mission, highlighting design’s critical role in human endeavors beyond Earth.
